Tornado is a disaster in Survive The Disasters 2.
Description []
A Tornado appears at any area along the northern end of the map. It moves in an either linear or slanted path from the northern end of the map to any area past the back wall of the map. Tornado causes destructible parts in its path to fly away and eventually disappear.
Hyper Tornado[]
Hyper Tornado moves twice as fast and is slightly bigger.
Disaster Memo Information[]
"A giant tornado appears at the end of the map. Any parts in contact with it will break and fly off. Stay away from where the tornado is coming from."
"Comparing to the standard Tornado, this one moves faster and is bigger."
Survival Tips[]
- Pay close attention to the direction Tornado is moving with, as it can travel in a slanted path. After looking, run out of Tornado's path to avoid getting flung away.
- Do not stand at the back of the map, as Tornado during a Mystery Disaster can easily catch you off-guard with no survival chance.
Trivia[]
- The Tornado's model is actually an inverted wizard hat.
- The earlier versions of Tornado flung every map part around, causing huge lag.
- It was then changed so that breakable parts that come into contact with the Tornado have a 50% chance to disappear.
- Tornado used to always travel in straight path in the middle of the map.
- If it were to start in the left corner in the legacy map Green Hill Zone, Tornado would have been able to take down the secret wall to the Chaos Emerald cave.
- Prior to a hotfix, if players were to shoot a Crossbow's arrow projectile at the Tornado, it would start rotating and glitching out.
- During the April Fools 2018 event, Tornado received some changes:
- It moved while rotating in all angles.
- Its disaster announcement splash was renamed to "tornader".
